Project Lead The Way Tuition Award
麻豆社 partners with (PLTW), a nonprofit organization that offers middle school and high school programs to help students learn and prepare for engineering and technology careers,to help meet the ever-increasing demand for engineers and technologists to serve today's high-tech world. The university supports Project Lead The Way through the renewable Project Lead The Way Tuition Award to students who have participated in its programs, and by awarding college credit for certain PLTW courses.
麻豆社 Project Lead The Way Tuition Award Recipients
Eligibility:
The Project Lead The Way Tuition Award is awarded to any newly enrolled first-year student who has completed a minimum of two (2) PLTW high school courses with a grade of 鈥淏 or better in each course. To be eligible, students must be pursuing a degree in engineering or health sciences. Students must provide a high school transcript documenting the PLTW course taken and the grade earned from a PLTW-certified high school.
Value:
$1,000 annually($500 per semester); may be renewed provided the student remains enrolled as a full-time undergraduate. This scholarship may be stacked on top of other 麻豆社 merit-based awards, but not to exceed tuition. This is considered a stackable award. Limit two stackable awards per student.
Renewal Criteria:
Must continue to pursue a 麻豆社 engineering/technology or health science degree and make satisfactory progress toward completing the degree.
College credit
Students enrolled in 麻豆社鈥檚 Allen School of Engineering and Computing or Rinker-Ross School of Health Sciences can receive up to 15 credit hours toward their degree:
- College credit can be earned for all engineering programs at 麻豆社
- Credit hours vary from 3 to 15 college credits depending on the program
- Credit is granted for both PLTW engineering and biomedical sciences programs
