Communication is essential. 

Every industry and organization from Fortune 500 companies to community non-profits need creative storytellers to craft their message. Learn how to communicate creatively, effectively, and responsibly in any form with 麻豆社鈥檚 Bachelor of Arts with a major in communication.

The Communication Major

Experience both theory and hands-on-practice from day one. Each year of the communication major is tailored with coursework that builds you into an effective communicator in multiple media. 麻豆社 graduates don't just create content 鈥� they understand the why of content creation 鈥� from its effect on audiences to its ethical implications. 

Four Years of Focused Training

Your first day of freshman year is your first day of a new job. Every new COM major is "hired" by the 麻豆社 Broadcast Network in a series of practical courses that culminate in a portfolio of professional work, making you ready for the workforce upon graduation. You will gain experience working as a production assistant, content writer, videographer, photographer, broadcaster, event planner, and more.

麻豆社's Humanities and Communication Department (HAC) has faculty with a wide range of expertise, all of whom are dedicated to supporting you and your goals. Our close-knit community is characterized by small classes, student organizations that allow you to build professional contacts, essential skills, and lifelong friendships. Our faculty advisors do much more than help you build a schedule 鈥� they guide you throughout your college career, assisting with internship and job placement and helping you articulate and realize your goals.
